Well, after a couple months of consideration, I have decided its time to hang up my designer hat. I live a much more active life style new. I go to the gym 3-5x a week and when I finally have time to sit in front of the computer to design (or scrap) the creativity just isn't there anymore. I have lost 32 lbs, 33" off my whole body and I am in the best shape of my life. I am just about 1/2 way to where I want my weight to be... My priorities are completely different than they were 8 months ago when Nicole hired me @ Stuff to Scrap. Thanks Nicole for welcoming me to the STS team, all of the ladies there really made me feel so welcomed and at home.

I have had such a great time designing and I am so thankful to all of my loyal blog followers.

STS Birthday Celebration!

Today is my day to "host" the STS birthday party!

First up, let me introduce myself to you all "formally"

I am Christin.. duh ;) .. and I am a Stay @ Home Mommy. I love all things creative. Sewing, cooking and of course scrapping are my top 3. I have been designing for about 3 years, and was super excited when Nicole of Stuff to Scrap offered me a permanent spot on the STS design team in November of 2010.

I am married to my High School sweetheart, Jeremy. We started dating in 1996, and have basically been inseparable since. He is in the US Air Force and we are stationed @ Fairchild, AFB WA. We are from Washington state, so we are very happy to be where we are. Fingers crossed no orders come down anytime soon!! ;)

We have 2 children. Our son, Jae is 8 and Kylee is 3. As a family we love hanging out, outside. Camping, 4x4, ORV, hiking, biking, swimming... anything that gets us out of the house and making memories. :)

Next, I will answer a question from the STS Birthday Punch bowl.
"Has anyone ever done anything extra special for you on your birthday?"

For my 23rd birthday, my hubby's co-worker took me out for the day. She took me on a shopping spree and told me to buy anything I wanted! LOL, Im such a thrifty shopper, she got off lucky! A pair of jeans and a top for only $40. Then we went out to lunch @ Famous Dave's BBQ. It was nice to get out and pamper myself, daddy stayed with Jae who @ the time was only 3.

I can't decide what was better, the food and outfit or being able to eat my food and shop without a antsy toddler touching everything. ;)

My Momma calls me this still to this day, Snookums. Not sure where it came from, but I love it. So when I decided to make a baby themed kit, I knew exactly what I was going to call it. :)

This kit is packed with 30 papers and 76 elements. I tried to make sure it was equally balanced between a boy kit and a girl kit as well as a unknown gender kit for maybe an ultrasound picture or a baby shower when the gender isn't known. Easter Egg Hunt {Day 18} + Color Challenge Mini!

This month I decided to make a mini for the Stuff to Scrap color challenge. The palette was gorgeous and I had originally planned to go with a Springy themed kit, but went in a totally different direction, and love the final product.

You can snag up this mini *here* (5th post down) until May 1, then it will be revamped and put into the store later. {AKA- someday} There are also many other mini freebies in this same palette in this thread so get your hard drive ready! {Easter Egg Hunt} Day 6

WARNING: Long post, but TOTALLY worth your time!! ;)

Wow, the days are just flying by!

I totally spaced that during this Egg hunt, we are going out of town for a week and a half for spring break. The kids are so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa and hubby and I are looking forward to hopefully sneaking out for a night to enjoy a nice dinner childless!!

So, what I am going to do is just post allll the links for April 6-16th tonight. I will combine the days into 1 zip folder, so you dont have to download a bunch of individual ones. ;) This way I wont have to stress about getting the blog post and links up while on vacation... Im sure you dont mind. ;)

But first, I want to share some stuff with you. Stuff to Scrap has such an amazing forum community, and the challenges there really help to keep you out of a scrapping funk, or if you are in one already, it can really boost you out of it. Especially the speed scraps! I use the speed scraps when I am just not feelin it. When a layout just wont come together, I hit up a speed scrap and almost always am happy with the finished layout.

So with that said, there is a speed scrap tomorrow morning hosted by "Mommy Me Time Scrapper" The participation prize is a pack of Easter themed quick pages!

STS Charity Collab {Brady}

This kit is not just any ordinary kit; it is for an amazing cause and an amazing little guy that needs a family, a home, and someone to love and care for him. The Hartman family, are in the process of adopting the sweet boy above. They feel called to rescue this little boy "Brady" from a mental institution in Eastern Europe. Because he has Downs Syndrome, Brady was abandoned at birth, just like the majority of children with any sort of disabilities in Eastern Europe and other parts of the world. lt is standard procedure when these children turn between 4-6 years old (depending on region) that they are transferred from Orphanages to full blown Mental Institutions. This transfer is very traumatic, and many times these children suffer and sometimes die due to the conditions. Brady has already been transferred and The Hartmans are trying to get to him as quickly as possible. The cost of this adoption is well between $20,000- $30,000 and so we just want to be able to contribute a little toward that huge amount. The amazing designers at "Stuff to Scrap" have put together an awesome collaboration that can be used to donate to this great cause. All proceeds from the sell of *Brady* goes directly to the Hartman's adoption fund.

Playing Catch-Up {Showing Off Layouts}

I am so ready for Christmas!!! I think I am more excited about it than the kids are! :) When I was a little girl, every year I'd wake up early, early, early in the morning to see if Santa had come yet. When I saw the gifts under the tree (wrapped), I was sooo excited. But we knew that we had to wait for Mom and Dad to wake up and at least have a cup of coffee (and a cigarette, blah) before we could open anything. They were smart and bought time with wrapped stocking stuffers and a new coloring book and crayons every year.

This will be the first year at home as a small family of 4 + 1 Uncle Jesse. I'm excited for a more calm gift opening experience. Lets just say the last 4 years, Christmas has blown up with there being 5 grand kids in the family. Last year the kids opened presents for hours before taking a lunch break and finally finished up opening gifts just before dinner. Then the adults had their turn of opening gifts and that took an hour. After that experience, I said, NO MORE. Its gotten too out of control! I'm sure some of the time was spent saying thank you's, hugs, kisses and opening the toy packaging. But still. Ridiculous.

This is the picture taken from the cat walk looking down on the tree Christmas Morning.

So this year, gift opening will probaly take all of 30 minutes, and then we will have the rest of the day to lounge, watch football and enjoy each others company.

Bre of Rainy Dayz Designs has released another super cute template pack, Tempting Templates {Vol 7}

Heres what I did using these templates. They are so user friendly and have just enough clustering and layering that you can make the layout completely your own, and it doesn't end up looking like a cookie cutter layout.

This first layout was created using my new kit, Monochrome Pop. If you got the STS newsletter, there is an exclusive freebie in it as well as a money saving coupon in the download!

I have a new kit out this week!! "Faith, Hope, Love" was created in order to remember the true reason of this holiday season. That would be Jesus! We celebrate Christmas in order to celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ. Sometimes unfortunately this falls to the side this time of the year. However, "Faith Hope, Love" should help you scrap the real meaning of Christmas, and all those Christmas musicals you'll put on at church!! It also has elements in it to where you can scrap some of the secular traditions of Christmas. The color scheme also allows for a wide range of layouts! And the best part? It's a collab with Scrappin Serenity! So if you pick up both parts you get one Mega Collab!
